BMW Team Schnitzer and Walkenhorst Motorsport will each run a BMW M6 GT3 at the opening round of this season’s Intercontinental GT Challenge in Bathurst. Augusto Farfus, who won the FIA GT World Cup in Macau with BMW Team Schnitzer at the end of 2018, will be at the wheel of the #42 BMW M6 GT3 in Bathurst. His team-mates are Martin Tomczyk and local favourite Chaz Mostert. For Walkenhorst Motorsport, victory at Spa-Francorchamps in 2018 was the biggest success in the team’s history. Team principal Henry Walkenhorst’s crew now faces the new challenge of the IGTC. Spa winner Christian Krognes will share the driving duties with BMW works drivers Nick Catsburg and Mikkel Jensen, who was promoted from the BMW Motorsport Junior programme in 2018.
